Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Grey flint backed blade. A trapezoid flake with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side by unidirectional hard hammer strike, and with a bulb at the broader end of the ventral surface. The cutting edge lies along the left hand long side of the object as it is viewed from its dorsal side, with the flat edge opposite permitting pressure to be brought to bear. A dense creamy patina indicates that the object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment after its deposition. Suggested date: Early Neolithic, 4000-3500 BC.

Length: 43.9mm, Width: 27mm, Thickness: 9.5mm, Weight: 10.96gms
