Flint plano convex knife. A short oval flat-ended pebble with a slightly bulbar ventral surface and with covering angled scalar retouch executed from the dorsal aspect. One end is now indented by the hard hammer removal of a flake. Scars on the ventral surface are from more recent adventitious damage. A creamy patina overall suggests the object has endured exposure to a calcareous environment after its deposition while orange spots point to its incorporation in gravels. Suggested date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, 2700-1600 BC.
