Copper alloy Medieval tongue-shaped strap end. Two rectangular sheets of metal with angled terminal ends joined at the attachment end by a single copper alloy rivet. Along the outside face of one strip are three tandem incised ring and dot motifs. A similar form is shown in Egan,G. and Pritchard,F. 'Dress Accessories 1150-1450.' p139, No. 640. Circa AD1300-1400.
