A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy buckle frame, Meols type 8, dating from about AD 1250 - 1450. The remaining portion consists of the expanded outer edge and a portion of one of the sides. The outer edge is moulded with a central pin notch, flanked by single transverse ridges and pointed knops. The upper side of the frame is bevelled and the underside is flat. The fragment has a light green patina. It is 30.2mm long, 16.6mm wide and 4.1mm thick. It weighs 3.14gm.
