Incomplete copper-alloy thimble of post-medieval date (c. 1750 - 1850 AD). The object is broadly cylindrical in shape, with a circular base from which the sides slope inwards to a round, flattened conical top. The original shape of the object has been distorted as it has been slightly flattened. The sides of the thimble are decorated with neat rows of small impressed circles within transverse bands. A large section has broken from the side of the thimble, leaving a rectangular gap. The object has a dull brown patina. It is 18.56mm in length, 15.57mm in width and 0.85mm in thickness. It weighs 1.67g.
