An incomplete and worn post-Medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I (1625-1649), minted at London. Group D. Initial marks: triangle/triangle (over anchor), 1636-1638 (North 1991: 162, ref: 2257).

Obverse: CAROLVS.D.G.M.B.F.ET.H.REX; Crowned bust facing left with II (mark of value) behind the head.

Reverse: .IVSTITIA.THRONVM.FIRMAT. (Justice strengthens the throne); Oval garnished shield.

Diameter: 17.0mm. Weight: 0.89g. DA=12:5.
