A complete medieval copper alloy mount, dating from c. AD 1400-1450. The mount is square in shape, and concave and hollow on the reverse. In the centre of the mount is the circular rivet, projecting out from this is four moulded squares, each with a circular indentation in the centre. These sit on top of four larger moulded squares, each with three circular indentations running around the edge of the smaller squares. The reverse is hollow, and has pellets and raised lines where the decoration has been pushed through from the reverse. The rivet projects from the centre. The mount has a mid green patina, and measures 14.9mm in length, 14.8mm in width, 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 0.76g.
