An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Colchester type, dating c. 25-60 AD. Only the pin is missing, the remainder of the object preserved intact. It demonstrates a stubbily flat-winged head, the spring chord projecting from its rear face at its midpoint. The bow is rectangular in section and flattened, decorated along its borders with incised lines and tapering to a plain foot. From the rear of the latter, the catchplate projects. Preserved in good condition with an even green patina, it measures 32.15mm in length, 7.96mm in width at the head, and 1.37mm thick at the midpoint of the bow. It weighs 1.4g.
