Incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon dating to the period c. AD 43 - 409. The remaining fragment comprises an oval-sectioned shaft with an old break at one end. From the break point to approximately halfway along it's extant length it is decorated in the "twisted rod" or "barley" style before becoming square-sectioned and

and a semi-circular loop projecting from the underside at the other, with a small hooked projection above. A small portion of the bowl projects from the loop, terminating in an old break.
