UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

Unique ID: NMS-E08362

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Two refitting lengths of sheet copper alloy, possibly part of a binding strip, of probable Early Saxon date (c. AD 500 - 600). Each fragment is slightly curved and terminates in a break at either end. The strips refit at one end, but not at the other, therefore it is not possible to determine the approximate circumference of the original object.
