Post-medieval gilt copper alloy harness mount, flat, square or lozengiform with a trefoil lobe at each corner and a pair of integral round-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse. Decoration in low relief comprises a square arrangement of twelve pellets and a thirteenth at the centre, Broadly comparable with Read 2016, no. 250 but with two spikes and rather different ornament. Closer to SUSS-1F3353. 24 x 23.5mm. Thickness excluding spikes 2.8mm. 17th century.
