Copper alloy and iron tuning key. A solid D-shaped flat-sided handle, apparently sheathed in copper alloy, but with a ferrous metal core from which projects the stub of a corroded shank of diameter c.4mm, here taken to be the stem around which instrument strings would be wrapped. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1850
