Copper-alloy bow brooch of Wirral type with inlaid enamel dating to the 2nd century. The brooch is now broken and missing the pin and fittings, the catch-plate, and possibly also a loop on the end. A circular stud protrudes from the apex of the bow, although it is unclear whether there was originally any decoration on it. Along the top of the bow run two strips of decoration: dotted lines of orange and turquoise enamel are inlaid. It is unclear whether the decorative lines were originally broken, or whether the enamel has worn in patches. The reverse of the bow also appears to have a dark green enamel on the surface. A close parallel to the Penprys brooch was found at Bryn Eryr, Ynys Môn (Longley et al 1998, 227-228).
