Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment, 35mm long, 34mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 4.86grams. The object consists of the upper part of the brooch. It has an oval headplate with a double semi-circular lug attachment on its reverse and an incomplete attachment loop. From the front of the headplate emerges an oval cross sectioned curved bow which is decorated with three transverse ridges just before the break.
