A post-medieval sheet copper-alloy book clasp, a hook-piece, broadly rectangular in plan, and dating to the 16th or 17th century AD. At one end the sides are recessed and a tab continues as a short curved hook. The opposing end has slight rounded crenellations. The clasp may have been decorated but it is too worn to tell.
