Complete copper alloy trade weight of Post-medieval date. The weight is circular with a raised rim dating to 1603-1625. Stamped on its upper surface with the Sword of the City of London; a 'ewer' coffee pot, which is the mark of the Worshipful Company of Founders who were controllers of sizing and marking weights in London, and a crowned I indicating that it was issued during the reign of James I (AD 1603 to AD 1625).The object has a pale green patina.
