Only the head and upper bow survive intact, the remainder of the object missing in old breaks. It demonstrates a circular-sectioned winged head with an internal axis bar, a rectangular slot on the rear face of the object intended to provide the means of hinging the pin (the upper portion of which still survives). Each wing is decorated with two pairs of double transverse collars close to its terminal, the inner edges remaining plain. The bow is 'D' shaped in section, demonstrating a central raised ridge running down its entire length which effectively divides the bow into two long panels. Each of these contains raised oblique mouldings that give the impression of chevroned decoration. Concreted ferrous corrosion products are visible clustered around the underside of the head and one wing. Preserved in fair condition with an uneven and rather coarse greenish patina, it survives to a length of 23.12mm, 35.76mm wide at its head, and 2.83mm thick at the midpoint of the bow. It weighs 6.96g.
