Grey-brown flint possible backed blade fragment. A small chip with long narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side, and with a bulb at one end of the ventral surface. A thin strip of cortex may be retained along one long edge, the opposite edge is sharp and possibly finely serrated. Broken, probably recently, at its broader end. Dense creamy patina suggests that this object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment after its deposition, and before its breakage. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.

Length: 16.7mm, Width: 14.3mm, Thickness: 4.6mm, Weight: 1.38gms
