An incomplete Post Medieval lead-alloy button, dating from about AD 1500-1650. The button is sub-conical and solid, with a convex front and a flat back. The front of the button has a central boss or pimple and eight radiating raised ribs within a hatched field. There is a casting seam on the back of the button and the remains of an integral attachment loop. PUBLIC-89D9BC is very similar and cites Read (2005) page 56 no. 207 which shows a similar button with a date of range of the 16th century to early 17th century. SOM-77CF09 is also simlar and cites the same book, number 211. The button is 12.6mm diameter, 10.4mm thick and 3.8g.
