A copper-alloy Rose and Orb jetton of Nuremberg Master Hans Schultes III, dating from about AD 1608-1612. Compare Mitchiner, 1988, p.413, no. 1415.
Obverse: +GLVCK KVMBT VON.GOT ALEIN, Three crowns and three lis arranged centrifugally around a central rose, with six petals, all within an inner circle.
Reverse: +HANS.SCHLTES.IN.NVRENBERG, An Imperial Orb surmounted by a cross pattee, with three pairs of quatrefoils arpund tressure, all within an inner circle.
The jetton has a crack across the centre. It is 21mm diameter, 0.7mm thick and 0.8g.
