A cast copper alloy, single loop, D-shaped buckle with an expanded outer edge and a narrowed strap bar (Meols type 1), dating from the Medieval period, probably AD 1200 - 1400. The pin is missing. The buckle has a grey green patina. It is 19mm wide, 14.1mm long and 3mm thick. 2.2g. Similar buckles are illustrated in Whitehead, 2003, Buckles 1250 - 1800, page 19, numbers 52 - 54.
