Silver long cross penny of Edward III (1327-1377), Third 'Florin' coinage (1344-1351), initial mark cross pattee (1334-1351), Class 4(I) with reverse-barred 'N' on obverse and lombardic 'n' on reverse. The coin has been bent in two then straightened at some point (not by the finder) and there is a ragged perforation at the edge of the coin to the left of the bust. The bust wears a bifoliate crown with sharply pointed triangular jewels between the fleurs. London mint. Spink 1546.
