A complete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver sceat of 'Vanimundus' type, Series VaA (670-80). Ref: Metcalf 1993: 80-2.

Obverse: Elaborately helmeted bust right, large eye, crescent ear, holding sceptre behind, wearing jewelled encrusted drapery, legend around.

Reverse : +VAnImUn[ ]E; Latin cross, crossed limbs. In beaded inner circle, C Ʌ in lower angles, legend outwith.

Diameter: 12.2mm. Weight: 0.72g. DA=12:3.
