A silver hammered sixpence of Elizabeth I dating to 1568. (N.1997).

Obverse shows faint outline of left facing bust with rose behind. The inscription is very worn and the edge shows signs of wear or clipping.

Long cross fourchée reverse over squared shield with date above. Coronet initial mark. London tower mint. AD 1568.

The coin is 25.6mm in diameter and weighs 27g.
