A copper-alloy fragment of a possible Roman strap fitting, possibly a buckle or a strap mount, dating to AD 300-450. It is a curved part of a frame. The front face has a thicker inside edge where there are two ring-and-dot knops. The outside edge has a flattened and crescent-shaped rim, at the centre of which there are two attached ring-and-dot knops. The back face is slightly concave from the outside edge to the inside one.

it might be part of a strap mount as in Chapman (2005, p. 128, no. Sr33) or the ouside edge of a military buckle.
