A medieval (1350-1400) copper alloy five-sided strap-slide with a separate internal rivet. As per. Egan's illustration (1991, 230) it measures 26.9mm in height, 18.0mm in length and 19.4mm in minimum internal width; it weighs 3.38g.
The attachment edge has a central circular perforation with an in situ rivet 3.7mm long, of a differnt copper alloy to the rest of the frame (reddish-brown, where the rest of the frame is green). To the inside of the attachment edge a circular rove (4.8mm diameter) encircles the rivet.
The outside edge of the strap-slide is trapezoidal in cross-section, being widest to the internal face.
