A crudely cast lead unidentified artefact, possibly a weight or a lead adhesive to anchor a fixing into stone. It is probably of post-Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1900. It is in the form of a blunt cone, with one flat and one rounded face. In the centre of the flat face is a loop or staple of fine copper alloy wire, perhaps a suspension loop or anchoring. There is also a short stub of thicker gauge copper alloy wire protruding from the side, though the function of this second wire, which appears to have no connection to the loop, is uncertain. The object is 17.7mm long and 17mm in diameter. It weighs 14.62gm.
