An incomplete copper alloy candle snuffer of late post-medieval to modern date (c 1850 -1950 AD)
The object is in the form of a bell with a wide flared rim. This rim is broken in several places with pieces missing. The object seems to have been machine finished: decoration is in the form of concentric, lathe-formed circumferential grooves and lines. There is a sub-rectangular suspension knop with a circular drilled hole. Height is 25 mm, extant width 32 mm. Thickness at rim 2 mm. Weight 16 g
