A pair of copper-alloy tweezers of probable early medieval or medieval date, and which were probably used to hold pages of a book. The tweezers comprise two slender arms, arced at the top, and with slightly flared and inturned nibs at the terminals. The loop end has a very slight shoulder making it 1mm wider than the arms at that end. Approximately one third from the end is a metal bar which is bent around the arms which would have been used to secure them when not in use. The arms are not decorated. They measure 64.56mm in length, 9.73mm in width, 5.67mm in thickness and weighs 8.63g. It has a green patina.
