An incomplete post medieval lead cloth seal (c. 1500 - c. 1700). The object is the rivet disc of probably a two-disc set, there is an old diametic break and approximately one third of the disc is missing. The disc shows a steep sided crown with three interior crosses, over what appears to be the initials T N - this interpretation is not certain because most of the letters are missing due to the break. It is possible that this is an alnage seal of Thomas Napper, who appears in the alnage tables for Gloucestershire in 1689. The reverse of the disc is undecorated and has the flattened rivet, 13.2 mm diameter, off centre.

Diameter 23 mm, thickness 1.9 mm (rivet 4.6 mm). Weight 9 g.
