~~A copper alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a bird. This has an ovate plate with an arched top and flat underside that forms the body of the bird. There is a central ridge with narrowed mid section that runs down the centre of the pate and forms the spine of the bird. The wings are represented by two oval panels that are positioned either side of the spine. These panels are decorated with four recessed and angled cells that would have been filled with enamel. Projecting from the rear of the plate is a small flat rectangular tab the forms the tail of the bird. At the front of the brooch, projecting perpendicular to the body is the slender neck that curves slightly forward and terminates in a triangular head has a small knop on each corner and points upwards.
On the underside are two truncated loop to the front, the catchplate at the rear is missing.
