A complete copper alloy Strap Slide of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object is composed of a rectangular plate, with a central lower knop and moulded edge, and a central transverse raised ridge. The plate tapers in to form a long projecting spur with a double circular terminating knop. From the lower left and right hand edges of the rectangular plate, is a rectangular three sided bar, which would have accommodated a strap. The back of the plate is concave and undecorated.
The metal is a mid-green in colour with areas of pitting and corrosion.
