A complete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver sceat. Series R1 (1), R100, 700-750 (Abramson 2006: 25 and 95).
Obverse: Radiate bust right, Runic 'EPA' before, inverted 'A' and 'T' behind, pyramidal neck rests on curved exergual lines either side of beaded line.
Reverse: Beaded standard enclosing TOTII legend, tufa containing trefoil of pellets, symbols either side, cross pattée below, beaded circle at either side.
Diameter: 12.0mm. Weight: 0.97g. DA=12:9.
