Medieval strap-end, shield-shaped plate with two rivets and arched section bar mount, of a type which was probably for use with a folding strap clasp (Egan and Pritchard. 156-8), later 14th century. Two rectangular roves. Gap between rear and roves 1.5mm. Length 14mm. Width 9mm. Bar mount 4.2 x 9mm.
