A late medieval groat of Edward IV, second reign (1471-83), standard type 'F', probably trefoil initial mark (visible to the reverse). Mint of London, dating to (probably) 1470-1. There are small trefoils on the cusps of the tressure. The finder reports that the coin was bent when found and subsequently annealed and straightened. With thanks to Carl Savage for the identification of this coin and the suggested date.
