A complete copper-alloy button of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1800.
Description: The button is discoidal with a flat section. The front surface is decorated with an incised cross decorating the upper surface in each quadrant has a hatched triangle in it. The edge is formed from cut frilled decoration. A circular shank projects centrally from the reverse which is folded over to form a suspension loop. The button is patinated varied shades of green.
Measurements: 31.25mm in diameter, 9.79mm thick including the shank (1.9mm thick) and 7.84g in weight.
