A Post-Medieval copper alloy pastry jigger, probably dating to c. AD 1700-1800. The object was found in three parts and subsequently reattached by the finder. The jigger consists of a circular sectioned shaft with three bulbous double stranded collars along its length, tapering towards one end where it bifurcates into two perforated arms; forming the box for the wheel. The latter is circular, with a crimped edge and central perforation, held in situ by an iron axis bar. There is a break preceding the collars which deliniate this terminal. At the other end of the shaft flares outwards into a fan-shaped terminal, with slightly upturned corners and a flat, serated transverse edge. A further break precedes this terminal.
Dimensions: length c. 124.9m; width of fan-shaped terminal 35.6mm; diameter of wheel 27.7mm; diameter of shaft 6.5mm; weight 28.43g.
