Incomplete cast copper alloy annular ring brooch, circular in plan and lozenge-shaped in section with an undulating profile, with three recesses dividing four decorated sections. One of the recesses also has a recess on the back of the brooch, where the hinge of the pin was wrapped around the diameter of the ring. There is a slight groove on the opposite side of the brooch which might have acted as the pin rest, but it is probably just from wear. The pin is now missing. The surface of the brooch is corroded and pitted but there appears to be several stamped pellets and other patterns but they are unclear. The brooch is similar to the ring brooch illustrated in Hattatt (2000) on page 382, fig.241, no.1710, which is dated from the 13th to the 15th century.
