An incomplete and worn plated silver over copper-core post-Medieval groat of Edward VI (1547-1553) in the name of Henry VIII. Likely minted at Canterbury between c.1547-c.1551, North (1991) no.1875. Coin is heavily abraded and worn and in places the silver plating has come away to show the poor quality copper-alloy core.
Measurements: 25.33mm in diameter, 0.62mm thick and 1.46g in weight.
