A late Iron Age to early Roman copper-alloy cosmetic mortar. This artefact weighs 26.64g. The crescent shaped bow has a length of 62.7mm, width of 11.3mm and depth of 9.8mm. The curved shape of the bow increases the total depth of this part of the object to 14.1mm. The terminals taper to rounded undecorated points. An integral suspension loop emerges from the lower edge of one terminal. This loop increases the mortar's length to a total 70.0mm and the maximum depth to 19.5mm. The loop is slightly oval in shape with an external length axis of 19.2mm. The apperture has a length axis of 9.0mm x depth axis 6.5mm. The loop has a thickness (on the width axis) of 3.0mm. No decoration is present anywhere on this cosmetic mortar.
