: Copper alloy hooked tag. A circular sheet metal tag with a short backward pointing hook and two drilled holes near its upper edge, Read early medieval Class A Type 2. A rouletted border passes around the plate and the same tool was used to draw a plain cross on the display face of the plate; the upright bar passes between the attachment holes. The good condition of this object may hint at some particularly localised conditions, as most finds reported along with it, mostly more recent, are in much worse condition.
