Silver coin. Halfgroat of Charles I (1625-1649), polished and bent twice to S profile as a keepsake. The coin is in unusually good condition for an object modified in this manner, possibly polished by the finder. Tower mint, issue of 1636-1638.

Obverse description: Bust left, II behind head. Mintmark tun (123)

Obverse inscription: CAROLVS.D:G:M:BRI:ET.H:REX

Reverse description: Arms of England, Scotland and Ireland in cartouche.

Reverse inscription: IVS[--].THRONVM.FIRMAT.
