A fragment of copper-alloy sheet, probably part of a vessel patch dating to the Post-Medieval period (c. AD 1500-1800). The sheet is broadly trapezoidal in shape and is folded and bent in several places. There are two circular perforations along the straight edge, one of which is filled with the remains of an iron circular-section rivet. The sheet measures 84mm in length, 72mm in width and a maximum of 6mm thick. The rivet holes are 3mm in diameter. The sheet weighs 27.10 grams.
