WEIGHT

Unique ID: SWYOR-67B716

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A crudely cast lead artefact, possibly a weight of possibly Medieval to post-Medieval date, about AD 1150 - AD 1600. It is broadly octangonal in plan, with a uneven base, a projecting lump preventing it sitting flat. The sides are angled, so the upper face is smaller than the base. The upper face has a deep angular depression in the top making it concave. The object has rough sides and a thin grey patina. It is 22.9mm in diameter and 16.6mm high. It weighs 45.69gm.
