An incomplete, double loop, copper alloy buckle, dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1250 - 1450. It has a rectangular double looped frame with rounded corners, and the inner edges of the loops are sub-rectangular with rounded corners. The central bar is integral. The front face of the frame is bevelled. It is 23.4mm long, 20mm wide and 1.9mm thick. It weighs 1.81gm. The frame is cracked and the pin and plate are missing. Similar examples in Egan and Pitchard suggest a Medieval date. The buckle has a smooth brown patina.
