Lead alloy spoon fragment. Cast terminal from the handle of a small spoon, spatulate in form and slightly turned down at its extreme end, with a shallow aris running centrally down its underside. A maker's stamp appears on the upper side of the handle, comprising an open crown with a flame or plume arising from it, over the letter X with its upper arm ends seriffed. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1760-1800.
