An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) small-long brooch, dating to AD 450-480. It consists of a central sub-square plate with three sides extended in three flat semi-circular knops. The fourth side extends in the arched bow. The front face of the central plate is decorated with a line of incised crescents running along the three edges, where the plate meets the semi-circular extensions. The front face of the semi-circular knops have an engraved zig-zag line running along the diameter. The bow projecting from the fourth side of the head-plate has a short (2.35 mm wide) rectangular cross-sectioned element, which turns into a roughly triangular cross-section while it tapers towards the break.
