A complete flint Scraper of Mesolithic date (9,000-3,450 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains four predominant negative scars. The proximal end has been blunted. All edges with the exception of the proximal edge have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The mesal left hand edge contains a small semi-circular notch which has similar retouch to the other edges. The ventral surface is slightly concave with a small bulb of percussion situated at the distal end. Shallow ripples of percussions emanate from the distal end.
The flint is brown in colour with dark grey inclusions throughout. There is no retained cortex and the flake is therefore a tertiary flake.
