Silver coin. Shilling of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), clipped with loss of most legend; denomination is suggested by diameter of inner circle. The weight has been reduced to almost the same irregular value as an accompanying coin which also displays irregular characteristics. The flan is thick and flat, and much smoothed by wear. Issue of 1560-1603.

Obverse description: Trace of bust left and of inner circle, all other detail lost.

Reverse description: Shield of Arms, long cross, inner circle; legend removed.

Diameter: 25mm, Weight: 3.61gms, die axis: possibly 9
