Treasure reference 2018 T383: a small hollow cylinder of silver. The cylinder has a double collar at both ends. The cylinder extends either side of the collars, and both ends are broken shortly thereafter. Traces of gilding are visible.
Discussion: The object has no dating evidence itself, but is from a known Early-Medieval productive site and is probably evidence for silver working of that date.
Conclusion: In conclusion, this object constitutes a prima facie case of treasure by consisting of more than 10% precious metal content in that it is silver and gold, and is of an antiquity greater than 300 years.
